In our three orphanages we currently have 205 children but we only have support for about 145. So at certain times of the year we need extra for the children to meet shortfalls in finance when they occur. We intend to keep each child until after they finish schooling at grade 10 and then we want to give them some vocational training, as well as further spiritual guidance.

We want to help other children in desperate situations also but we currently don't have the means to do this. If God gives us more sponsors we'll be able to look after them. We need at least 40 Australian dollars ($36 US) per month to feed, clothe and educate each child. Each child is loved, properly disciplined and spends 2 hours in the presence of God each day.

Samalkot orphanage

We GS Raju and my wife Rani have 35 orphans living in our home at Samalkot, which is not far from the slums. We found these children as we served in the surrounding villages. They were without proper food, clothing, shelter and education and were orphaned at a very early age because their parents deserted them, an accident happened, or for other socio-economic reasons. We brought them to our home and give them food, clothing, shelter, education as well as spiritual training.

Moolapeta orphanage

A few years ago we received a once only donation from overseas Christians and we were able to build a new Children’s home at Moolapeta that can house over 110 orphan children. After the tsunami in December 2004 we found 80 homeless children who had lost their parents and were roaming the streets. We currently look after over 100 children here at Moolapeta. We want to upgrade this orphanage at Moolapeta to be able to look after more needy children.

Orissa orphanage

During the recent severe Christian persecution in Orissa state we picked up 50 new children who had been orphaned. We are very grateful to Goondiwindi AOG church for sponsoring these children. We now look after over 60 orphan children here at our Orissa state orphanage.
